This project presents two vinyl cover designs created for different musical identities. Oranged is a real musician, my brother, creating electronic music, while Savannah Wilder is a fictional character in country-inspired style style.
Oranged was created for my brother, who is a musician. The idea was to build a personal cover direction around original photography I took of him, making the artwork feel connected to the artist instead of using generic music imagery.
Built a visual moodboard to define the style centered around electronic music, marker lines, hand-drawn elements on top of photography.
Explored early composition ideas for the Oranged cover, testing how the portrait, title placement, and album-cover structure could work together before moving into the final layout.
Designed an insert as a supporting packaging piece, with a made-up song lyrics since the artist's songs don't have words, to illustrate how lyrics could be integrated into the design.
The final Oranged design was printed using a layout for folding an actual vinyl cover and insert. Displaying the uses original photography, texture effects, and marker line text font.
I also coded a simple website concept for selling his merch and songs, extending the music packaging direction into a digital world.
Savannah was developed as a country-inspired record cover concept. The idea was to lean into western mood, warm tones, and a strong genre atmosphere while keeping the cover clean enough to work as music packaging.
Gathered country-inspired references to shape the western atmosphere, colour direction, and visual language for the second cover.
